Generally speaking there are three types of zebra rugs for sale. You should know the different types out there so that you can figure out which one is the right one for you. The first type that you can find is the zebra skin rug. This is made from the actual skin of the animal. These are taken from the Burchells zebra in South Africa. As these are made by highly skilled craftsmen from real skin, the price for one of these can easily cost you several thousand dollars.

The second type that you can find in the market today is the zebra print rug. This is still made using real skin, but skin from other animals such as bulls, cows, goats and sheep are used instead. These although not the real deal, can still fetch you anywhere between four to five hindered dollars each.

The third type of zebra rugs for sale is also a zebra print rug, but this time no skin is used. Instead these are made from wool, nylon, acrylic and polypropylene. As they are made from these materials, you can find them in other shapes like rectangle, square, round, oval and even as rug runners. As they are printed on material, colors also come in more than just black, white and cream. This type has varied prices depending on the size and the material that is used.
