Printed Mat,Print Area Rug,luxury Blanket-Macomb seniors, fire department provide blankets for needy

        Macomb Township Fire Sgt. Dwayne Thompson's youngest son has a favorite blanket, Printed Mat one which has provided inspiration to his dad.

        It gave Thompson the Print Area Rug idea to create the No One Cold campaign, which is designed to provide handcrafted blankets to those in need luxury Blanket and victims in emergencies.

        Thompson said the idea developed back in October.

        "The idea was born when my youngest son was given great care and a blanket from Medstar Ambulance," Thompson said.

        Thompson noticed a tag on the fleece blanket indicating that it had been donated.

        "I thought we could do the same thing," Thompson said. "We, as a fire department, carry blankets on fire engines for several reasons. And the fire corps gathers things to give to people who have been burned out."
