NAMPA -- It's national "Make a Blanket Day" and one group in Nampa is out to make hundreds for kids Print blanket in the U.S. and Haiti.
Inside Karcher Mall in Nampa, Polyester Baby Blankets about 50 volunteers from Ispahan Carpets Project Linus pulled out their sewing machines and went to work.
Both young and old chipped in to sew.
The group was making blankets for Haitian kids as well as kids in local hospitals.
"Anytime there is a disaster any place, they are right there wanting to help," said Donna Aten with Project Linus. "And that's what we do, make blankets for kids that need a hug."
Atten said they are shipping 400 blankets to Haiti Saturday and will ship another 200 on Monday that were donated by people at NNU.
